ChrisP and Troy Report.  Not much to report - Troy and I suited up around 47th street and hopped in - the new gear kept me quite toasty. If we hadn't driven three hours we would have probably chosen not to suit up and play in the mush but we did anyway. Spent three hours on small weak waves but had fun and a day in the water is still better than...... Til next time.

Snake Rides a Few Small Ones. Sat wasn't much better. 48th wasn't breaking Sat but I did find some small catchable waves at 119th (surprise) beginning around 1pm on Sat when the tide changed. There were about a half dozen or so out until late in the day. Didn't recognize who they were. The very small swell was coming straight into the beach but at least the waves were knee high to sometimes a little larger. There was also a small mushy peak at 65th beginning around noon.

PaulSkin Reports Warm Waves. I had contact with Chris S who said NJs was small but longboardable and heard from Mark V who checked NSIRI up to NJs and said it was small everywhere but that Henlopen Hotel had nice shape and it would be one less body in the way at NJs. I paddled out at the rock jetty on the 9'0" and messed around on knee to thigh gutless wonders. I was
so warm that I went hoodless the whole time and even dunkings felt nice and were painless. Mark showed up a little later and we shared the break with two kids wearing 3/2s and no gloves. Monday was not happening until afternoon when at low tide I went up to Njs to see two locals out at the 2nd jetty in sectiony waist to chest waves. After some time we moved over to the main jetty as the tide rose and some clean waist to chests were to be had in cloudy/rainy conditions. NJs again proved my nemesis (sp?) as I  had another mediocre waveriding day in good conditions, and my arms/shoulders were tired out from sunday. Still nice to get out and about and not be at work...
Jeff Marlow Chimes-In.  I have surfed worse... never let anyone get a picture of it though. It would have been difficult for a wave hog to dominate the peak. The waves looked too weak to allow passing or spearing. I really liked the photos of Todd in a squat stance. Reminds me of Rods PR wilderness poop post, without the raised arm part. Glad you all got wet and enjoyed the day. I spent the weekend installing insulation and drywall. I do not recommend head dips into Owens Corning products. Lots of scratching yourself in public involved.
The 7/11 Man Reports Gutless Warm Waves.  What you really won't believe is that most were in 4/3s no hood and quite warm to hot.  I was actually wishing I had brought my 3/2.  Of course this had to do with it being around 70 degrees and sunny.  It was a really nice day, the waves were pretty gutless, but it was pleasant to be out there.
